Crown chakra meditation music can create a peaceful space for stillness, reflection and a deeper sense of spiritual connection.

To accompany this practice, I created The Divine Source, an original five-minute crown chakra meditation featuring intuitive piano music, layered OM vocal sounds and calming violet imagery.

You can use this meditation whenever you feel mentally overwhelmed, spiritually disconnected or simply in need of a quiet moment away from the noise of everyday life.

There is nothing you need to achieve during the meditation. Allow yourself to listen, breathe and experience the music in your own way.

What Is the Crown Chakra?

The crown chakra is traditionally known as Sahasrara and is usually represented at the top of the head.

Within chakra traditions, it is associated with:

  • Spiritual connection
  • Inner peace
  • Higher awareness
  • Unity and wholeness
  • Meaning and purpose
  • Wisdom
  • Stillness
  • Surrender

A crown chakra practice is not about escaping from ordinary life. Instead, it can provide an opportunity to become quiet, step back from repetitive thoughts and reconnect with a wider sense of perspective.

Chakras form part of spiritual and energetic traditions rather than scientifically recognised physical anatomy. Crown chakra meditation can therefore be approached as a reflective wellbeing practice rather than a medical treatment. ntroduction to the seven energy centres, read my Complete Guide to Chakra Healing with Music.

For a more immersive experience, consider using headphones at a comfortable volume and viewing the video in full-screen mode.

You may keep your eyes gently focused on the crown chakra symbol or close them and give your full attention to the music.

About The Divine Source

I composed The Divine Source using a free-flowing and intuitive style of piano playing.

The composition is in the musical key of B major, which is sometimes associated with the crown chakra within modern chakra music systems. These musical correspondences vary between traditions, so the most important quality is how the music feels to you personally.

The meditation also contains layers of my voice sounding the sacred syllable OM.

OM is frequently used during meditation as a point of focus. Its sustained vocal sound can encourage slower breathing, inward attention and awareness of vibration within the body.

You do not need to chant during the video. You can simply listen to the recorded voices or join in softly when it feels comfortable.

How to Use This Crown Chakra Meditation Music

Find a quiet place where you are unlikely to be disturbed for approximately five minutes.

You can sit upright in a chair, sit on a cushion or lie down. Choose whichever position allows you to remain comfortable and relaxed.

1. Settle Your Body

Allow your shoulders, face and jaw to soften.

Notice the support beneath your body and take a few gentle breaths. There is no need to force your breathing or make it unusually deep.

2. Set a Simple Intention

Before beginning the music, choose a gentle intention such as:

  • I open myself to peace.
  • I allow my thoughts to become quiet.
  • I am connected to something greater than myself.
  • I welcome wisdom and understanding.
  • I trust the stillness within me.

Choose one phrase or create your own.

3. Listen to the Music

As the piano begins, allow the sound to become the focus of your attention.

Notice the melody, vocal layers and spaces between the sounds. When thoughts arise, acknowledge them without judgement and gently return your attention to the music.

You do not have to stop thinking completely. The practice is simply to notice when your attention has wandered and then return to listening.

4. Visualise Violet or White Light

You may imagine a soft violet or white light above the crown of your head.

Allow the light to represent peace, clarity or spiritual connection. There is no need to see the image clearly. A simple awareness or intention is enough.

5. Listen to or Join the OM Sound

When you hear the OM vocal layers, notice how the sound feels.

You may listen silently, breathe with the sound or join in gently. Chanting is entirely optional.

Keep your voice comfortable and avoid straining to sustain the sound.

6. Return to the Present Moment

When the music finishes, remain still for a few moments.

Notice your breathing, your surroundings and the physical support beneath you. Move your hands and feet gently before continuing with your day.

This grounding stage can be especially helpful after meditations focused on spaciousness or spiritual awareness.

What You May Experience

Every experience of meditation is different.

You might notice:

  • A quieter mind
  • Slower breathing
  • A feeling of peacefulness
  • Emotional release
  • Tingling or warmth
  • New thoughts or insights
  • A sense of spaciousness
  • No obvious change at all

There is no correct response. Sometimes the effects of a meditation are subtle, and sometimes the main benefit is simply taking five uninterrupted minutes to pause.

Music-based practices may support relaxation and emotional wellbeing for some people, although individual responses vary. ra Affirmations

You can repeat one or more of these affirmations while listening:

  • I am open to peace.
  • I trust the wisdom within me.
  • I am connected to life.
  • I release the need to understand everything.
  • I welcome clarity and inspiration.
  • I am present within my body.
  • I allow myself to become still.
  • I am part of something greater.

Allow the words to support your meditation without placing pressure on yourself to believe or feel anything immediately.

Staying Grounded During Spiritual Meditation

Crown chakra practices are often associated with expansion and spiritual awareness, but grounding remains important.

After listening, you may find it helpful to:

  • Place both feet on the floor
  • Drink a glass of water
  • Take several natural breaths
  • Stretch your arms and legs
  • Step outside for some fresh air
  • Write down any thoughts in a journal
  • Continue with a simple everyday activity

If meditation makes you feel uncomfortable, distressed or unusually disconnected, stop the practice and return your attention to your immediate surroundings.

Final Thoughts

The Divine Source was created as a short musical journey into stillness, peace and spiritual reflection.

You do not need to have previous meditation experience or detailed knowledge of the chakras. Simply listen with an open mind, allow your breathing to remain comfortable and notice how the music affects you.

Some days the meditation may feel deep and meaningful. On other days, it may simply give you five peaceful minutes.

Both experiences are valuable.
