WhAT ARE Chakras?

Chakras are energy centers or portals in the human energy field that receive, transmit energy and act as gates through which life force flows in and out of our physical bodies. A chakra originating from Sanskrit, literally means ‘Wheel of spinning Energy’ like a whirling vortex of energy.
These were roughly identified and defined around 3,000 years ago in India and they are part of the subtle body and not the physical body.
Each chakra is specifically held where major endocrine glands and nerve plexuses are located within the body. There are seven major chakras as individually explained below.
Sometimes chakras become blocked because of physical, emotional, mental, traumas or spiritual disturbances.
When chakras become blocked from negative energy received through illness, injury or relationship disconnections we can often feel constricted or stuck in certain areas of our life.
We can think of chakras as our main source of energy like energy batteries that require cleansing and recharging in order to function well.
If the energy system cannot flow freely through these energy fields it is likely that illness will eventually occur. So an imbalance in chakras will manifest later in the physical body.
Re-balancing our chakras on a regular basis will help imbalances in the physical body to disappear meaning that healing of the physical body can occur much more rapidly.
Chakras are also interconnected with others chakras. So free flowing energy through the chakras allows vital energy to run from the top of the head to the base of the spine.
It is important to understand what each chakra represents so we can keep our life force energy flowing freely and by understanding how to work with our chakras allows us to make choices to heal the energy fields so we can support our well-being on an energetic level.

The Root Chakra

The 1st Chakra called the Root Chakra or in Sanskrit language “Muladhara” is located the base of the spine at the tailbone.

This Chakra stands for our inherited beliefs and relates to our basic needs for survival and security.

A free flowing Root Chakra connects us to having a sense of belonging in the world (with family, society and global community) and connects us with the vitality of having a sense of trust and acceptance of who we are. For example, how we look and feel about ourselves.

So if we experience negative emotions about relationships, finances and career.
It is a sign that this chakra is unbalanced and will need to be unblocked.
